Andrea Tate of Crave Photography is a regular client of Gracylu Originals. Known in the photography world by her nickname “Andee,” she specializes in custom photography with emphasis placed on unique editing and stand out imagery.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Andee for the blog and would invite you to join in learning more about this talented photographer. All headpieces in these photos were created by Tristian, owner of Gracylu Originals.

SARAH: How often do you photograph brides?
ANDEE: I photograph quite a few brides each year and I love it! It is always fun for me to see the hair, makeup, and dress of each new bride.
SARAH: How does that compare to other shoots?
ANDEE: I shoot natural light, so finding good locations to photograph someone in a big white dress can sometimes be a little challenging! My photography does have some variety to it though as I am not an exclusive wedding photographer. I also love to photograph teens and children. Those sessions are a little more laid back and really fun in a lot of ways!

SARAH: How long have you been a photographer?
ANDEE: 2 1/2 years.
SARAH: Tell me about the interesting places photography has taken you.
ANDEE: I haven’t been outside of the US with my camera yet, but I have been able to mentor and teach photoshop to other photographers around the globe. Some of these photographers have been from Iceland, Germany, Netherlands, Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, etc… In a way I feel like I am making connections with other photographers from around the world and that is super exciting and fulfilling to me!

SARAH: What’s the scoop on you and Tristian?
ANDEE: I would love to meet Tristian in person! We became acquainted online about 8 or 9 months ago. She is such a genuine and talented lady, such a great professional to work with. I adore Tristian.

SARAH: What’s your impression of her headpieces?
ANDEE: Everything she sends me to photograph is so unique. I think her business name really speaks for itself. She is so versatile in that she can make something so delicate for a bride, fun and colorful for a child, and soft and simple for a baby.

SARAH: What’s your favorite Gracylu Originals piece?
ANDEE: Oh boy, I’m not sure I have just one favorite. Too many amazing pieces to choose from!

SARAH: How do your clients react when they see a Gracylu Originals headpiece?
ANDEE: The headpieces always help make my photo shoot come full circle with the look I am after. My clients feel they are so “out of the box” and extraordinary.

SARAH: Share a little about your family.
ANDEE: Family is everything to me. I’ve been married to my husband Aaron for almost seventeen years. We have three boys and one little princess who thinks she runs the show. They are very supportive and we are finally getting a workable system down for keeping everything in balance around here! We really enjoy the outdoors as a family especially hiking, camping, and biking.
SARAH: Thanks for taking the time to chat with us, Andee! Your photography work is stunning. Check out more photos at Crave My Photography.

Sarah Elisabeth
