Photographer Showcase—Bailey Moir Photography

Bailey’s photography has been described as eye-opening and inspiring by people across the country.  Originally a Biology major at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, Bailey decided to follow her dreams and start her journey in photography in 2010.

“To me photography is not just a passion, it’s a way of life.” Bailey Moir.

SARAH: When did you discover your passion for photography, and how long have you done it professionally?

BAILEY: I have always been into photography. All throughout my college years, I had a camera strapped to my hand. I will admit that they were just little point and shoots, but none-the-less I loved to photograph every event I was involved in. Christmas of 2008 my dear, sweet husband bought me a Canon Rebel XSI, and I was hooked. I grabbed my manual and started studying. Last year, after a nice conversation with a dear friend (who is also a professional photographer) I decided to start on my photography journey. I have only been shooting professionally for one year, last September (the 14th) to be exact! By the way, I have moved up to a Canon 5D Mark II.;)

SARAH: Are weddings a large part of your business, or just on occasion?

BAILEY: I’m kind of on the in between with weddings. They intrigue me, and I love capturing the joy and love that a wedding gives. I also love the uniqueness that each bride and groom brings to their big day, but I’m still growing the wedding part of my business. Growing fast, I might add! (What a blessing!)

SARAH: How did it come about for you to shoot a bride in East Texas?

BAILEY: East Texas has my heart! I was born and raised in the small town of Canton. Kayleigh and I went to high school together, and were always in touch after we both graduated. (Thanks Facebook!)

SARAH: How important do you think a headpiece is to a bride’s apparel?

BAILEY: The importance depends on the bride. Some brides may feel that it takes away from their dress, or just isn’t necessary. Others feel that it enhances the look and gives it that extra “oomph” their overall vision needs to be completed! I am very partial to headpieces. Just another way to set you apart from the rest!

SARAH: What was your reaction to the Gracylu Originals bridal and party headpieces?

BAILEY: The Gracylu Originals were breathtaking. I loved that each one was different and beautiful in their own way. They complimented the bride’s 1920s dress and the bridal party’s dresses perfectly.

SARAH: Would you recommend Gracylu to other brides, and why?

BAILEY: Absolutely! Gracylu Originals are incomparable to a lot of headpieces I have seen. They stand out in ways that I cannot explain, and are the perfect enhancement to any bride’s dress.

Thanks, Bailey, for sharing the story behind your photography and these gorgeous pictures!
